Moussa Sissoko to Borussia Dortmund: German giants keen on rescuing Newcastle star from Championship season
MOUSSA SISSOKO could escape a season in the Championship by joining Borussia Dortmund.
The German giants are interested in the Newcastle star, 26, after he impressed at Euro 2016 with France, according to .
But a bid is yet to be lodged for the wantaway central midfielder.
Dortmund will have to cough up an eye-watering £35million price tag on the wantaway midfielder to meet the Magpies' evaluation.
Toon owner Mike Ashley knows he can play hardball over the Frenchman's fee as there are still three years left of his contract at St James' Park.
But Sissoko hopes the hefty sum will not scupper a lifeline out of England's second division.
He said: “Newcastle would ask for £35 million? It could be £20m – for me, it changes nothing.
“The interested clubs will know how to find common ground. I hope that it will be as early as possible.”
Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked with Sissoko and could compete for his signature.
And Sissoko has previously expressed his desire to play in the Premier League again.
