Premier League Fantasy Football Injury Update: Game Week 13

Fantasy football takes centre-stage once again following the final international break.

Game Week 13 offers plenty of intrigue — with Jose Mourinho replacing Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, in-form Chelsea travelling to Man City, and unpredictable Man United taking on the defensive might of Sheffield United.

But before any of that, there's a plethora of injury concerns and doubts to take care of.

Doubts

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool's talisman is said to be a major doubt for Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace, having pulled out of international duty last week with an ankle problem.

Salah flew to Egypt to be assessed and returned to Liverpool wearing a protective boot; missing out on his country’s games against Kenya and Comoros as a result.

The forward has been struggling with an ankle injury since the heavy challenge from Leicester’s Hamza Choudhury last month, and aggravated the problem when he was caught by Fernandinho in the Reds' 3-1 win over Man City at Anfield last time out.

Christian Pulisic

Pulisic in the Premier League's man in form at the moment; picking up an impressive 63 points over the last three weeks.

His spectacular haul has made him a firm Dream Team favourite, and he has been the most transferred in player over the international break.

But the midfielder reportedly stayed in London instead of linking up with the USA national team last week in an attempt to recover from a hip injury he picked up in the 2-0 win over Palace last time out, and is likely to be out for Chelsea's huge clash with Man City on Saturday evening.

Andy Robertson

Along with Salah, it looks like Liverpool will be missing their trusted left-back for their weekend trip to Palace.

Robertson suffered a swollen ankle during the win over Man City in their last fixture, and missed out on Scotland's final Euro 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus and Kazakhstan as a result.

Scott McTominay

McTominay has become a surprising figurehead in Man United's team this season, while his haul of 47 points makes him the best United midfielder on Dream Team so far.

But the Scottish international suffered a nasty knock in their win over Brighton last time out, which ruled him out his nation's qualifiers along with Robertson.

He's said to be a doubt for the trip to Sheffield United at the weekend, although he was spotted training at United's Carrington facility earlier in the week and could feature in the club's match-day squad.

Ryan Fraser

Fraser pulled out of the Scotland squad over the international break with a minor knee problem, and it appears he hasn't fully recovered.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says they'll make a late call on the winger before they play Wolves on Saturday.

Definitely Out

Josh King

One player who definitely is out is King, who has been one of Bournemouth's most regular sources of goals in recent years.

King suffered a hamstring injury on international duty and will miss the Wolves game.

Suspended

City's midfield maestro has been handed a one-match ban by the FA for a social media post involving teammate Benjamin Mendy back in September, meaning he is unavailable to face Chelsea this weekend.

Lewis Dunk

Brighton's tough-tackling centre-back is banned for the Seagull's match with Leicester on Saturday after accumulating five yellow cards this season.
