Injuries and suspensions ahead of Dream Team Game Week 9

Dream Team brings you all the latest injury news and suspension updates from the Premier League to help managers navigate their way through Game Week 9.

The international break hasn't been kind to Dream Team gaffers with several highly-owned players set to miss out.

Mohamed Salah (£6.8m) is the most high-profile absentee having returned a positive test for coronavirus while on international duty with Egypt.

The 28-year-old, who is owned by a whopping 38.7% of managers, is likely to miss Liverpool's next two games because of self-isolation rules.

The Reds will also be without centre-back Joe Gomez (£3.3m), who could potentially miss the remainder of the season. Trent Alexander-Arnold (£4.8m) and captain Jordan Henderson (£1.7m) are also doubts for Sunday's clash with Leicester.

And the bad news continues over at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City winger Raheem Sterling (£7.3m) was released from England duty owing to a damaged calf sustained during a training session.

He's a doubt for Saturday's trip to Tottenham, who themselves will be without full-back Matt Doherty (£3.9m) after the Irishman tested positive for coronavirus.

Frank Lampard will not have either Christian Pulisic (£4.3m) or Kai Havertz (£4m) at his disposal when Chelsea take on Newcastle in Saturday's lunchtime kick off.

Havertz is still recovering from Covid and is lacking match fitness, while the US international remains in rehabilitation for a hamstring injury.

Man United's Harry Maguire (£4.4m) suffered a bruised foot while on England duty and will be assessed ahead of the West Brom game. Victor Lindelof (£2.6m) and Marcus Rashford (£4.6m) will also undergo late fitness tests.
