Edinson Cavani could become a Dream Team gem but gaffers must wait for FA verdict

Fortune favours the brave. Who dares wins. Without risk there is no reward, etc...
Those sentiments may sound like something Sir Alan Sugar would bark at the beginning of The Apprentice… but it also reflects a big question facing Dream Team manager after this weekend's results.
And that question is this: is it time to transfer in Edinson Cavani (£3.1m)?
The Uruguayan forward was brought off the bench to salvage something for Man United against Southampton on Sunday afternoon and though he only had 45 minutes, he did so with aplomb.
Cavani delivered in spades netting twice and providing an assist to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side an unlikely 3-2 victory.
He returned a 20-point haul bagged the Star Man award in the process.
The brace brings Cavani's season tally to three goals and that's fairly impressive considering he's achieved it in just 126 minutes of top-flight action.
United's gaffer praised the 33-year-old in his post-match interview, hailing his 'excellent' performance, which could suggest more regular action is on the horizon.
So it's a no-brainer, right? Not exactly.
Cavani was plagued by injuries during his final campaign with PSG.
He only managed to complete seven 90-minute appearances in all competitions and missed over 20 fixtures with various ailments.
And at the ripe old age of 33, any chance of being a regular starter at Old Trafford seems slim to none.
He also faces the prospect of a three-match suspension with the Football Association investigating activity on his Instagram account.
Cavani's now deleted IG story contained a Spanish phrase that is offensive in some contexts — Luis Suarez used the term when confronting Patrice Evra back in 2011.
If found guilty of inappropriate language, Cavani will miss United's next three games against West Ham, Man City and Sheffield United.
At the very least, Dream Team managers should wait for the FA's verdict before using up a valuable transfer.
