Fantasy football: What transfers do I need to make after Game Week 9?

Another Premier League and fantasy football weekend is behind us, and yet again Harry Kane is the talk of the town. 

The striker currently tops the total points chart with 129 points - 40 more than his closest rival - having notched two goals and an assist at the weekend in Spurs' 4-1 win over Liverpool.

It was also a good weekend for the few managers who've opted for Brighton's Glenn Murray in their side - with the journeyman forward grabbing two goals and a cool 18 points against hapless West Ham.

Man City players are very much in demand

Ahead of Gameweek 9, Man City stars Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, John Stones, Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane were the most in-demand players on Dream Team.

And with good reason. 

Pep Guardiola's high-flying birds can't stop scoring and winning at the moment, with the usually-resolute Burnley the latest to fall to the menacing Sky Blues - with Sane and Nicolas Otamendi (more on him later) were the team's top points scorers in the 3-0 win over the Clarets

Next up, they face Wolves in the Carabao Cup, before they travel to out-of-form West Brom at the weekend.

Surely it's a case of picking a number between three and seven, right?

Leicester showed shades of old under Michael Appleton

It's not very often we recommend snapping up players from a side who are technically manger-less.

But that's exactly what we're doing.

Leicester - who are currently under the guidance of caretaker gaffer Michael Appleton - picked up their second Premier League win of the season on Saturday, dispatching Swansea in their first game since Craig Shakespeare was shown the door.

It was clearly the wake up call the Foxes needed, with the likes of Riyad Mahrez (12 points, two assists) and Shinji Okazaki putting in a decent shift against the Swans.

Gameweek 9 was a jolt of reality for Man United fans, who witnessed their title-chasing boys lose 2-1 to Huddersfield in their first trip to the West Yorkshire side since 1971.

The Red Devils, who are now five points behind City in the Premier League table and level with Spurs in second-place, host Mauricio Pochettino's in-form, free-scoring charges at Old Trafford in Saturday's early kick-off, and could be without Phil Jones and Eric Bailly in defence to add to the injuries to the likes of Marcos Rojo, Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini.

While United still have enough quality going forward, we're really starting to worry about them defensively, especially up against the likes of Kane and Dele Alli.

Arsenal have a golden trio who can rival the very best

Prior to Idrissa Gueye's sending off, it looked like Arsenal might be frustrated by hapless Everton.

But in the end, the Gunners secured a useful 5-2 win over Ronald Koeman's ten-men, with Mesut Ozil (10 points), Alexandre Lacazette (8 points) and Alexis Sanchez (15 points - Star Man) starring in the win at Goodison Park.

It may have taken nine Premier League games, but the trio finally started their first Arsenal game together, with Lacazette playing up front, Sanchez just behind him and Ozil providing the good stuff just behind.

Coupled with the resurgent Jack Wilshire and Aaron Ramsey (10 points) in midfield, it was a decent haul from Arsenal players.

One of the worst kept secrets at DTHQ is the brilliance of Nicolas Otamendi (89 points) on the game.

The Argentinian is currently Dream Team's second-best points scorer so far this season, while his City teammate Stones (81 points) isn't far behind.

Those of you who know your stuff will be aware that the duo have been in great form for Guardiola's side this season, but neither instantly strike us as typical fantasy football stars.

But if you think that's surprising, then there's Maya Yoshida (40 points), Alfie Mawson (50 points) and Christopher Schindler (48 points) all worthy mentions in the bargain category.
