With everyone picking the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar, you need to know the who the hidden gems are that are going to give you the run on all of your mates.

And we are treating you with this underrated points machine.

Barely anyone has selected Uruguay's Jose Gimenez and we aren't sure why.

The 23-year-old Atletico Madrid centre-back powerhosue has already racked up 18 points from a single game and is second only to hat-trick scoring Cristiano Ronaldo on the whole game - but only 4.8% of managers have selected him.

There are several players who join Gimenez on 18 points, however at a cost of just £2m the goalscoring defender is top of the lot.

He makes up half of one of the strongest defensive duos in Russia, guarding Uruguay's goal alongside his club colleague Diego Godin.

And with Fernando Muslera behind them they are a formidable defensive unit.

It's no surprise they kept a Mo Salah-less Egypt at arms length for 90 minutes.

Gimenez was one of the best players on the pitch.

He was commanding in the air at both ends and capped his performance with a thumping late header to give Uruguay three points and all but guarantee top spot in the group.

Now, the reason you need to get Gimenez into your team right now is because of Uruguay's remaining group stage fixtures.

The South Americans face Saudi Arabia before playing hosts Russia.

Although Russia hit the Saudis for five neither team looked like they would be up to much against a team of Uruguay's quality.

You can expect two almost-guaranteed clean sheets from these games and then the potential added bonus of Gimenez getting more goals too.

Fantasy football heaven.

Let's just have a quick look at who you lot are choosing over this rough diamond.

Gerard Pique is more popular despite scoring -2 points from his first game, Mats Hummels is four times as popular as Gimenez but managed to lose you a point from his game against Mexico and more of you have picked Gary Cahill when he didn't even get a minute against Tunisia.

Ah well, at least he didn't lose you points.
