Since he let Cristiano Ronaldo's shot slip through his fingers during Spain's 3-3 draw with Portugal in Russia, he hasn't looked the same.
In competitive games since the start of the World Cup De Gea Has conceded 13 goals from the last 19 shots on target he has faced.
You might be of the mind that it is Mourinho's selections in defence that have hampered United's start to the season but De Gea has not covered himself in glory.
Admittedly, playing behind a fragile mix of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Ander Herrera must make you a bit nervous every game.
Although De Gea doesn't look anywhere near the imperious shot stopper we saw last season.
United have already conceded seven goals in just three games - a quarter of the amount for the whole of last season - but over 15% of Dream Team managers still have him in their team.
With Neil Etheridge going way beyond expectations at Cardiff on 23pts and Southampton's Alex McCarthy not far behind on 19pts, it could be time to trade De Gea in for a cheaper model.
