Spurs are splashing the cash ahead of the start of the Premier League season.

Having failed to spend a single penny on new players last term, the North Londoners have already forked out on a couple of new signings this summer - including record-buy Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.

The next big name on their shopping list appears to be Argentinian midfield Giovani Lo Celso, who could set them back £45million - although some reports claim his club Real Betis are holding out for £60m.

Spurs' next big signing?

The playmaker would certainly be a deadly addition to Spurs' squad.

The 23-year-old netted 15 times for the Spanish club last season - having initially joined the Seville-based side on loan from Paris Saint-Germain before the club exercised their option for a £20m permanent move - and he was one of the stars of their exciting Europa League run.

Despite often being used as a 'false nine' in Betis' attack last season, Lo Celso seemingly prefers to play back in central midfield.

Renowned for his excellent dribbling skills and quick-thinking on the ball, he's also excellent at picking out inch-perfect passes and can even strike the ball from distance.

Check out his awesome show-reel below.

What could Giovanni Lo Celso bring to your fantasy football team?

Exciting South Americans are all the rage when it comes to Dream Team.

Sergio Aguero, Roberto Firmino and Lucas Moura are all massive fantasy football favourites, and we're hoping to put Lo Celso in the mix too.

The Argentinian could certainly become a hit this season, as his natural attacking instinct should see him notch an impressive tally of goals and assists.

Last season, he finished up with 16 goals in all competitions for Betis, including a rather impressive 11 goals in La Liga - culminating in an overall rating of 7.02 in the league.

But that doesn't tell the whole story of his role in the side, and if you delve a little deeper into his stats you can see that Lo Celso completed more dribbles in La Liga (63) than any other Betis player, and was often their most-fouled player.

What's more, his advanced role in the side meant he had 64 shots in the Spanish top-flight, with 33 of those from outside the area.

This guy loves to shoot.

Lo Celso's versatility will give Mauricio Pochettino plenty of options in midfield, with his new signing likely to link up well with Christian Erisken (should be stick around) and Alli in the attacking midfield positions.

Or alternatively he could play a more advanced role in central-midfield alongside fellow new boy Ndombele.

Either way, he'll likely pose a significant attacking threat from the midfield, and as far as Dream Team is concerned he could be the kind of midfielder who's a great source of both goals and assists.

While we're probably getting a little ahead of ourselves, we're certainly excited to pick Lo Celso for our Dream Team this season.

Of course, nothing's been confirmed yet - and won't be until he signs on the dotted line - but estimate his fantasy football price will be around £3.0m, similar to  fellow tricky midfielders Felipe Anderson, Moura, and James Maddison.
