Arteta's men won on spot-kicks after a 1-1 draw in normal time at Wembley.

It followed their FA Cup triumph - when German midfielder Ozil was on holiday in Turkey.

Ozil, 31, tweeted: "Congrats to my teammates."

The former Real Madrid star has been frozen out by Arteta for most of this year.

The Spaniard does not see him as part of his long-term plans after a series of disappointing performances since he replaced Unai Emery.

Emery also had issues with Ozil and left him out.

Ozil signed his huge two-and-a-half year contract in February 2019, when Arsene Wenger was manager.

He is set to earn £42m in wages alone from that deal.

But the Gunners are desperate to talk him into taking a pay-off so he leaves the club on a free this summer.
