EURO 2016 star Emanuele Giaccherini is on his way to Napoli from Sunderland.
The Italian, 31, has agreed a £1.2million move to the Serie A side and the deal is expected to be concluded soon.
Giaccherini was surplus to requirements with the Black Cats despite his performances for the Azzurri during their run to the quarter-finals in France.
And his agent Furio Valcareggi confirmed: “It's all done, the last few details with Sunderland are being smoothed out.
“Emanuele is very happy to join Napoli, a great team that will be playing to win.
“He's finally getting what he deserves, after being underestimated for years.
“He'll put in triple the effort to match what he showed at Euro 2016.”
