The champions have now told the Merseyside club they are not willing to let their secret weapon leave the club
LEICESTER have rejected an approach by Everton for their assistant manager and head of recruitment Steve Walsh.
The Toffees targeted Walsh after he helped the Foxes bring in star players such as Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez and win the Premier League.
But, according to, the champions have now told the Merseyside club they are not willing to let Walsh leave the club.
The former schoolteacher shook up the sporting world when his English, Algerian and French rejects won the English top flight at odds of 5000/1 .
Everton wanted to get Walsh in to team up with boss Ronald Koeman as they look to improve on a disappointing season.
The Toffees are undergoing a revolution as new owner Farhad Moshiri looks to splash some of his millions on turning the club around.
The club could now turn to Jordi Cruyff as their director of football after being sunbed by Leicester.
Cruyff is director of football at Maccabi Tel Aviv and has helped turn them back into a dominant force.
