Paul Pogba to Manchester United: Brexit will cost club £13million as Jose Mourinho bids to land France star from Juventus
MANCHESTER UNITED'S world record chase of Paul Pogba will cost a whopping £13MILLION more than it did a month ago - because of Brexit.
The price of the pound sterling compared to the Euro has dropped dramatically since the decision to leave the European Union on 24 June and the Old Trafford coffers will be hit if they land the Frenchman.
Manchester United remain the bookies' favourites to be Pogba's club by the end of the transfer window, especially given news that the club are to delay announcing their squad numbers.
Super agent Mino Raiola, who has already secured Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan's moves to the club, has flown to Manchester today to negotiate a terms with Ed Woodward and Jose Mourinho.
But the discussions could all be a ploy, claim suspicious fans, who says Pogba hinted at his preference to move to Real Madrid in a post on social media.
The 23-year-old, who is on holiday in the US, dressed all in white for his latest photo, with the caption "all in white... Peace".
That sparked fans believing that Pogba's choice of outfit was a nod to his desire to join Los Blancos.
With Italian giants Juventus sticking to their world record asking price of €125,000,000 (£105m), Brexit will hit Manchester United hard in their coffers and stifle some of Mourinho's rebuilding attempts.
The day before the referendum the pound was priced at 1.308 compared to the Euro, according to .
Today that price is all the way down at 1.192.
