David Moyes fears Sunderland will face relegation battle without making new signings soon
Black Cats boss says he will drive to Manchester himself to sign United midfielders Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj
DAVID MOYES fears Sunderland will battle relegation again — unless they make some quick signings.
Moyes said: “This squad is short of numbers. There’s no doubt we have to make some signings.”
The Scot has confirmed he wants to bring both of his former Old Trafford stars to Sunderland.
Moyes made midfielder Fellaini, 28, his first major United signing when he bought him for £27.5million from his old club Everton in 2013.
He also handed winger Januzaj, 21, his Premier League debut.
Moyes, 53, added: “If either of those players want to come to the North East, I will drive down there and pick them up.
“They're excellent players. We’re interested but I’m sure other clubs are as well. I’d love to get that level of player to this football club and that is my aim.”
