Bertrand Traore had given Chelsea the lead in the first half when he turned home a rebound from close range in the 24th minute after Victor Moses' shot was saved.
Milan grabbed an equaliser before the break as Giacomo Bonaventura curled his free-kick over the wall and beyond the reach of Thibaut Courtois in the Chelsea net, but it was the Oscar show in the second half as he sealed the Blues' win.
FACTS, STATS, GOALS & LOLS
- THE quality of Chelsea’s shirts nowadays are pants. Bertrand Traore had his ripped virtually in half and then Diego Costa’s was destroyed moments later
- OLA AINA surely is not a candidate to start against West Ham at right back. Luiz Adriano’s pass caught him flat-footed and allowed Niang Mbaye to run through and it needed Thibaut Courtois to make a great stop
- BERTRAND TRAORE has played a lot of football on this tour – and he was in the right place at the right time to poach after Moses’ run and shot was parried by the keeper. But he is definitely not the answer to Chelsea’s striking problems
- CESAR AZPILICUETA had a decent game at left back and he went close with a thumping drive from 30 yards out. He is a definite key man this season for Antonio Conte
- GIACOMO BONAVENTURA's free-kick to level in the 38th minute was a real cracker. Up and over the wall with a lot of bend to beat Courtois, who had no chance
- N’GOLO KANTE made his much awaited debut following his £30million move from Leicester. He is short of match fitness but did not look out of place – harrying opponents and winning the ball like he usually does
- THE Chelsea defence does not look as convincing as it once did and there are serious question marks there. Conte has to go out and sign two quality defenders to seriously challenge for the title
- OSCAR has not been that great during this pre-season – but he kept his nerve to convert a second-half penalty before adding a third late on
- YOU have to hope that the Chelsea hierarchy have sounded out the people who built the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The sold-out 64,101 stadium is one of the very best arenas in the world.
- LOIC REMY sat on the bench and did not get any minutes. You have to fear for his Chelsea future ... or not! Maybe he is heading to Goodison to make way for Romelu Lukaku. Watch this space
- JUAN CUADRADO made an impact in his short cameo - laying on a lovely pass for Oscar to drill home. Cuadrado is a player Conte likes - so it will be interesting to see if he makes the cut next week when the Chelsea boss decides on who he wants to stay and who to go
