Wilfred Ndidi says Leicester’s four-game unbeaten run since title-winning boss Claudio Ranieri was sacked is just mental
WILFRED NDIDI reckons Leicester’s unbeaten four-match run since boss Claudio Ranieri’s sacking is just mental.
And the Premier League champs’ £18million summer signing has hit back at claims players got the Italian the sack.
But with Craig Shakespeare in the dugout, the team have shaken off the losing mindset that had them heading for relegation.

Midfielder Ndidi, 20, said: “Nothing much has changed, only the fact that the coach was sacked and we developed a new mindset.
“Our mind is focused on winning, avoiding the same mistakes we made in the past and to keep fighting to get the necessary points.
“The new manager combines a great knowledge of the team, lessons picked up from previous matches and has his own ideas on how to set us up for the challenges we face.”
Ndidi has played in all four wins since Ranieri got the bullet on February 23, including the incredible 3-2 aggregate victory over Sevilla in the Champions League.
The upturn in form has taken the Foxes six points clear of the drop zone.
But Ndidi — on international duty with Nigeria — has rejected suggestions the players forced Ranieri out.
He said: “It hurts to think people could say that. The players continued to fight to get results.
“Unfortunately we couldn’t manage to do it. But I doubt there are footballers who don’t care about winning.
“Claudio had a special effect on everyone and to suddenly hear about his sack was shocking.”
