Difficult afternoon for visitors who have Richarlison sent off, throw away two-goal lead and see Michael Keane suffer horror injury as hosts hit back to cancel out Theo Walcott and Keane goals despite Adam Smith's red
NATHAN AKE sealed Bournemouth’s comeback after both sides had been reduced to 10 men.
The game sparked into life when Everton’s £40million new boy Richarlison was sent off for putting his head in Cherries defender Adam Smith’s face in a penalty box spat four minutes before the break.
Theo Walcott then put the 10-men Toffees ahead with a shot that beat keeper Asmir Begovic at his near post in the 56th minute.
The Cherries were reduced to 10 men five minutes later when Smith was shown a straight red for bringing down Walcott on his way to goal.
And the hosts’ fell further behind when Walcott’s quick free-kick resulted in Michael Keane heading in Gylfi Sigurdsson’s cross to make it 2-0 to Everton in the 66th minute.
But Joshua King pulled one back for Bournemouth with a 75th minute penalty after Callum Wilson had been shoved in the back in the box by Leighton Baines.
