HARRY MAGUIRE arrives at Carrington this morning to put the finishing touches on his world-record £85million move to Manchester United.
The England centre-back was up bright and early to put pen to paper on a deal that will make him football's most expensive defender.
Maguire, 26, looked cool, calm and collected as he sat in the passenger seat of a black Range Rover on its way into United's training ground.
And United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Harry Maguire at the heart of his defence when they take on Chelsea next Sunday in their Premier League opener.
He said: “I’ve got a good idea of my starting line-up for Chelsea and Harry has played a few games over the summer so he should be ready. We’ll just have to assess him if and when.
“We’ve just got the last little details to get over the line and hopefully we can announce something very soon.”
Maguire's move from Leicester is expected to be announced today.
In addition to being the world's most expensive defender, Maguire is also the most expensive player of this Premier League transfer window... so far.
RECORD BREAKER
Arsenal obliterated their club-record transfer to land winger Nicolas Pepe from Lille for £72m.
Man City splashed a club-record £63m on ex-Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri - but neither come close to matching Maguire.
The previous record for a defender was the £75m Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk in January last year.
Maguire underwent a medical yesterday after Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers called the deal - which expected to land Maguire a six-year contract - an "incredible piece of business".
He said: "A fee has been agreed and it’s our job to look forward.
"It’s an incredible piece of business but if you look at the market it changes.
