MANCHESTER UNITED flop Matteo Darmian has admitted he "would do it all again" despite being frozen out at Old Trafford.
The right-back joined Italian club Parma last week for £1.4million after a disappointing spell at United following his £12.9m transfer from Torino in 2015.
Darmian made just 49 Premier League starts in four seasons, playing under three different managers, but relished his time in Manchester.
He made just seven appearances for United in all competitions last season, failing to impress new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But Darmian said: "Signing for Manchester United was easy.
“It was a source of pride and responsibility to wear such an important shirt.
“It’s an experience I’d do all over again, on and off the field.
"I really wanted to play and the lure of returning to Italy pushed me to leave Manchester.
“A professional must always accept the coach’s decisions. You have to work hard to be ready.
“I chose Parma because I wanted to play and the club really wanted me. I’ve been following Italian football and Parma’s growth, which I think is still going.
“Everyone here has made me feel at home, I feel really happy.”
Darmian hopes to quickly break into the Parma team which won 3-1 at Udinese a week ago.
The defender said: “The coach is very well-prepared. The Udine game was positive, not only for the result.
