USPGA Golf: Ian Botham’s management team contact Andrew Johnston over potential ventures as Beef and Beefy
The cricket legend is looking to team-up golf's newest sensation after he took the world by storm during The Open

GOLF simply cannot get enough of Beef — and now Ian Botham is keen to jump on the Andrew Johnston gravy train.
The cricket legend’s management team, have been in touch with Johnston’s agent, Shaun Redding, to explore whether they can link up for commercial ventures as Beef and Beefy.
The fact that Botham’s people made the first move is another illustration of just how popular the English golfer has become.
Botham, 60, joined fellow England cricketer Allan Lamb a few years ago to push meat sales.
Johnston’s eighth spot at The Open was his best performance at a Major.
Redding said: “We’ve had loads of offers since Andrew captured the public imagination by playing so well and conducting himself so brilliantly at The Open.
“We’ve just signed a deal with American burger chain Arby’s and the approach from Ian Botham’s management is one that could really take off.
“There are quite a few more deals in the pipeline.
“The appetite for Beef really is pretty incredible, which is a line I have borrowed from Andrew himself.”
