BEEF AT THE DARTS

Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston enjoys night out at World Darts Championships at Alexandra Palace

Charismatic golfer was in the crowd at Ally Pally, a day after fellow golfer Danny Willett seemed to have a good time there

Who would have guessed that the darts is the new place for golfers to be seen?

Masters champion Danny Willett was at Ally Pally on Tuesday and seemed to be in good spirits as he downed a pint.

And now, Andrew 'Beef' Johnston has followed him to north London.

Beef looked to be having a good time as he held up a sign joking that he isn't Shane Lowry.

The PDC's Twitter feed seemed to get the joke too, posting that it was great to have Shane Lowry in the house.

Beef rose to fame as he captured the imagination of the public in finishing eighth at The Open this summer.

The 27-year-old is one of the biggest personalities on the tour, and his Instagram feed usually makes for amusing viewing.

And, once the festive period is over, Johnston will be hoping to kick on in 2017 after his breakthrough year.
