The excitement surround The Masters is greater than ever with a fully-fit and in-form Tiger Woods in the field

TIGER WOODS has been drawn with Tommy Fleetwood and Marc Leishman as he bids to win The Masters.

This year's Major at Augusta is the most eagerly-anticipated for years with the sight of a fully fit and in-form Woods in the field.

And he will begin his first round on Thursday as the 12th match on course as part of the group that includes English hope Fleetwood - European number one - and Australia's Leishman.

They are the first of the big names taking to the course, teeing off at 3.42pm UK time - just before defending champion Sergio Garcia who will play with world number two Justin Thomas and American amateur star Doc Redman.

World number one Dustin Johnson will have to wait until the final group of the day to begin his challenge for the green jacket.

His three-ball with Justin Rose and Spain's Rafael Cabrera-Bello is one of the biggest draws of the afternoon field on the first day.

Johnson is looking to make up for the disappointment of being forced to pull out of the tournament last year after falling down stairs at his home the day before it began.

At that point he was the form player on Tour, but that honour goes to world number two Thomas who many believe is the favourite to win this week.

But with so many of the game's biggest names coming into the tournament with wins and good performances behind them, there is a growing hope the 2018 Masters will be a classic.

Ian Poulter's dramatic victory last week saw him snatch the final place in the field and he will start his challenge at 4.48pm alongside South Africa's Trevor Immelman and US hope Patrick Cantlay.

The organisers have managed to pack the afternoon groups with some of the pre-tournament favourites which should make for good television viewing around the globe.

Phil Mickelson, on the back of a welcome PGA Tour win last month, begins his first round at 6.27pm with Rickie Fowler and Matt Kuchar.

Following them in group 27 is former champion Adam Scott, a confident Rory McIlroy and Spain's highly-rated Jon Rahm.

Then comes Jordan Spieth in an intriguing group with consistent Louis Oosthuizen and Sweden's Alex Noren.

They will be followed by the final group out - Johnson, Rose and Cabrera-Bello, with all three tipped to do well this week.
