Queen’s Trust looking for Group 2 success
The filly has put together a string of good performances and was far from disgraced behind Seventh Heaven and Found at York
QUEEN'S TRUST could head to the Moyglare "Jewels" Blandford Stakes at the Curragh next month following her fine effort in the Yorkshire Oaks.
Connections of the Sir Michael Stoute-trained filly will look at the Group Two contest over a mile and a quarter for Queen's Trust after she took minor honours behind the Aidan O'Brien-trained pair of Seventh Heaven and Found in York's Group One over a mile and a half.
"We were thrilled. She came there cruising. Andrea (Atzeni) felt she didn't quite let herself down on the ground," said Chris Richardson, managing director for owners Cheveley Park Stud.
"He felt he could go on and win, but it was no disgrace to be beaten by those two special fillies.
"We'll see, but I suppose the logical step would be the Blandford Stakes to try to win a Group Two.
"There's obviously the Prix de l'Opera abroad in due course. I think she's as good at 10 furlongs as she is at 12."
