Dodging Bullet’s not done with yet
Nicholl's 2015 Champion Chase winner failed to fire on all cylinders last year but connections are looking forward to the season ahead with him

DODGING BULLETS could make his seasonal reappearance in either The Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter or Ascot's Stella Artois 1965 Chase .
Paul Nicholls' 2015 Queen Mother Champion Chase hero followed up wins in the Tingle Creek and the Clarence House Chase when triumphing at the Cheltenham Festival
But last season did not go so well.
He was well beaten by Top Gamble on his first start in almost a year at Newbury in February, could only finish seventh when defending his Champion Chase crown and was a distant third behind the resurgent Sprinter Sacre on his final outing in the Celebration Chase.
Dodging Bullets is by no means a veteran at the age of eight, however, and owner Martin Broughton believes he could benefit from a step up in distance this term.
"He's good and we'll certainly be looking at going two and a half miles this year," said Broughton.
"He might come out in the Haldon Gold Cup, but he'll probably go to Ascot for the race that used to be called the Amlin (1965 Chase on November 19) and then see how things go.
"The Ryanair Chase could be a possibility at the end of the year."
