AT A LOSS

Nigel in a Twist

Ballyandy has yet to register his first win over hurdles and Twiston-Davies is unsure where to go next with him

NIGEL TWISTON-DAVIES admits he is at a loss as to future plans for Ballyandy.

Last season's Champion Bumper winner has had three races over hurdles this term but has yet to win.

In the first two of those he bumped into Moon Racer, winner of the 2015 Champion Bumper, but he was expected to win the Winter Hurdle at Sandown when stepping up to two and a half miles and receiving 7lb from his main rivals.

"I don't know what to do with him, I really don't, it's all a bit frustrating," said Twiston-Davies.

"What do we make of Sandown? He looked there to me like he'd have no trouble with three miles.

"Then Sam (Twiston-Davies) came in and said we should be dropping him back to two. I don't know.

"Some people are saying we're having a good year but Ballyandy hasn't won, Ballyoptic (Grade One winner) has only won once and The New One hasn't even run yet."
