See you in January
Seeyouatmidnight was pulled up in the Betfair Chase on his last start and has suffered a couple of niggling injuries since then preventing him from running
SANDY THOMSON is hoping to get Seeyouatmidnight back on the track in the middle of next month after the horse suffered a couple of small setbacks.
Thomson is targeting the meeting at Kelso on January 15 for his stable star, who was pulled in the Betfair Chase at Haydock on his latest start.
"We've just not quite got him sound yet. I think we've identified the problem and it looks like Kelso in the middle of January is where we'll be heading with him," said Thomson.
"We thought he only had a bruised foot. We got that sorted out and got him back into work and there was something else niggling him as well. Hopefully we'll get it all sorted out.
"We certainly won't make the Rowland Meyrick (at Wetherby on Boxing Day) or anything around that time."
Thomson will aim Harry The Viking at the Betfred Eider Chase at Newcastle on February 25 after his victory in the Scottish Borders National at Kelso earlier this month.
"It was great and he's come out of it well," said Thomson.
"Hopefully, the Eider will be the plan. We'd fancy it more than the Grand National Trial (at Haydock) in which he was second a few years ago.
"This time of the year you have to look at the weather as well."
