Plumpton, Wolverhampton and Market Rasen all come under the spotlight as Steve Mullen tries to find a host of winners on Monday

PLUMPTON

RUWASI was a solid handicapper on the Flat and looks to have translated plenty of ability to hurdling. He was a good third on debut at Kempton last week and looked very much in need of the experience.

He made a couple of errors which trainer Gary Moore should iron out.

HE’S A BULLY was a consistent performer at this level and above before spending 16 months off the track.

He caught the eye on his comeback run at Ludlow last time where he was an excellent second. He has been given another month off since then and that should beat the bounce factor.

GROUNDUNDEREPAIR is still learning the game but confirmed all his earlier promise when winning well at Lingfield last time out. That was over 2m but he shapes as though this longer trip will be right up his street.

The win was on heavy ground but he ran well the only time he encountered faster conditions.

BROTHER BENNETT has come right down the weights and was well backed before unseating his young rider at Stratford last time out. He had earlier hit the frame at Lingfield after switching from hurdles. He doesn’t have many miles on the clock over fences and is open to improvement.

THEPARTYSOVER could be the answer to this poor race. He came back to something like his best form when sixth at Wincanton last time and this race looks quite a bit softer than that.

He has been running over shorter trips than this but has no lack of stamina.

4.30

MR JIM has not shown much in three novice chases and starts off handicapping from a lowly mark. It’s interesting to see him upped in trip for this weak contest as that could bring about further improvement too.

5.00

JUBILYMPICS has shown enough on her two bumper runs to make her the main fancy for this. She was second at Lingfield last time after running just as well on debut at Hereford. This distance on good ground won’t be a problem and you would expect plenty of improvement.
