Sir Michael Stoute's King Edward VII Stakes winner is being aimed at the Jockey Club Stakes run at the Guineas meeting for his seasonal reappearance
SIR Michael Stoute's King Edward VII Stakes winner Across The Stars is likely to make his seasonal reappearance in the Jockey Club Stakes.
Not seen since finishing third in the Great Voltigeur, he was being prepared for the Sheema Classic in Dubai.
Unfortunately he was forced to miss that trip due to a minor setback and will now stay closer to home.
Owner Saeed Suhail's racing manager Bruce Raymond said: "He was being aimed at the Sheema Classic, but spiked a temperature the day before (he was due to travel).

"He was going to gallop on the Wednesday and get on the plane on the Thursday yet spiked the temperature and couldn't go. It didn't worry him and he hasn't missed anything since, so he's pretty fit.
"I haven't spoken in depth to Sir Michael, but I'd imagine that the Jockey Club Stakes at the Guineas meeting looks the obvious place to start off."
