RICHARD HANNON believes Barney Roy can Thunder to Classic glory tomorrow.

Godolphin's three-year-old scorched the turf at Newbury when landing the Greenham last month.

Now Hannon is hoping he can deliver his second 2,000 Guineas win after Night Of Thunder's success in 2014.

The Everleigh trainer said: "We've been delighted with Barney Roy since his win at Newbury.

"He is one of the most exciting horses we've had here for some time. But he always has been. Even as a two-year-old before he ran he's always been a bit different.

"He's a pleasure to train, very straightforward and, mentally, he's happy as Larry. The good ones normally are.
