Investec Derby 2017 – Nineteen declared for Saturday’s Derby at Epsom with favourite Cracksman and Cliffs Of Moher standing their ground

Gosden's colt will carry the same colours as 2015 winner Golden Horn but he will face a tough test with Aidan O'Brien sending six horses over from Ireland to challenge

CRACKSMAN heads the home team as 19 go to post for Saturday's Investec Derby at Epsom.

John Gosden's colt will carry the same colours as 2015 Derby hero Golden Horn.

He is unbeaten in two starts and the form of his Epsom Derby Trial win has been boosted with the runner-up Permian going on to land the Dante Stakes at York.

Permian renews his rivalry after being supplemented on Monday by trainer Mark Johnston at a cost of £85,000.

Gosden's Khalidi was the other horse to be supplemented after his impressive Cocked Hat Stakes win at Goodwood where he broke the track record.

In an attempt to stop Aidan O'Brien's dominance in the Classics, Gosden also runs Crowned Eagle, Glencadam Glory and Pealer to make up his team of five.

O'Brien saddles six runners which are headed by Dee Stakes winner Cliffs Of Moher.

Also joining him are Capri, Douglas Macarthur, Venice Beach, Wings Of Eagles and The Anvil.

Martyn Meade's Eminent looks to have a chance now stepping up in trip while Joseph O'Brien saddles Rekindling.

Godolphin send three into battle with Saeed bin Suroor's trio of Benbatl, Best Solution and Dubai Thunder.

Sylvester Kirk's Salouen makes up the chances in the field with no-hoper Diore Lia tagging along.
