TRAINER Ruth Carr is in no rush to decide where to send Sovereign Debt after his brilliant Epsom win on Saturday.

Carr's eight-year-old defied a 5lb penalty to land the Group 3 Diomed Stakes and Group 1 targets such as the Queen Anne Stakes or the Sussex Stakes are under consideration.

However, Carr may stick with what he is comfortable with and not pitch him in at the deep end.

"I've no more thoughts from what I had after the race," said the North Yorkshire trainer.

"We'll see how he is over the next few days and get together with the owners and see what we're thinking, whether we step up (in grade) or not.

"We're not actually any worse off for the Group 3 on Saturday. He had a Group 2 penalty so it hasn't changed things massively as far as the programme book goes.

"He's eight years old and it's quite nice to keep him in a grade where he's enjoying it, his confidence is high and where he can keep doing it and getting his head in front."
