Royal Ascot 2017 – Jack Hobbs heads a field of 17 for the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Ascot on Wednesday

Jack Hobbs was last seen winning the Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan impressively and he is as short as 15-8 for glory at Royal Ascot next week

JACK HOBBS heads a field of 17 still in contention for the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

John Gosden's five-year-old was last seen winning the Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan.

Gosden also has Wings Of Desire.

Godolphin, who are major shareholders in Jack Hobbs, also have Hawkbill, Scottish, Moonlight Magic and Prize Money entered.

Coronation Cup winner Highland Reel is one of three horses entered for Aidan O'Brien along with Deauville and Johannes Vermeer.

Last year's winner My Dream Boat is back to defend his title, while The Grey Gatsby, runner-up in the race in 2015, could make his reappearance.

Jean-Claude Rouget's Mekhtaal is the only French entry after Cloth Of Stars was ruled out.

Sir Michael Stoute has Ulysses and Queen's Trust entered while Roger Charlton has Decorated Knight in contention.

Mutakayyef and Nezwaah complete the field of 17.
