NICKLAUS is very nicely bred and should be suited by this distance on debut. The William Haggas runners are in good form at the moment and any market support would be interesting.

THEGLASGOWWARRIOR went close off this mark at Salisbury last time when the step up to this distance brought lots of improvement. He should have learned from the experience and his useful rider takes a handy 5lb off.

HART STOPPER managed to win at Windsor last time despite being stopped in his run at couple of times. Despite that he was a cosy scorer in the end and an extra 7lb on his back doesn’t look a problem.

SALUTI showed lots of promise as a juvenile, with three solid efforts on the all-weather at Kempton. It’s interesting to see him kept to maiden company and this extra furlong should be right up his street.

PROFESSOR doesn’t win as often as he should but he’s in cracking form and looks nailed on to make the frame at least. He is best over this distance and is coming down the weights.

SURREY HOPE has solid hat-trick claims after excellent wins at Kempton and Sandown this season. He seems to relish this mile distance and a 4lb rise for his last victory looks more than fair.

POET’S SOCIETY comes here on the back of an excellent effort in a big field at York. He showed lots of pace over 6f on the Knavesmire and might just be helped by this drop back in trip. He goes on any ground and should be right there.
