Aidan O'Brien's two-year-old shot to the head of the betting for next year's QIPCO 2,000 Guineas after his impressive win in the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket
GUSTAV KLIMT will have a break before his first run in Group 1 company in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes.
Aidan O'Brien has earmarked the seven-furlong contest at the Curragh on September 10 as the most likely target for the two-year-old, who is favourite for next year's QIPCO 2,000 Guineas.
He was impressive at Newmarket last Saturday when overcoming trouble in running to land the Group 2 Superlative Stakes.
O'Brien said: "We were very happy with him. He went there for experience. He had a nice run first time, then he won his maiden at the Curragh.
"He would have learned a lot the last day, travelling over. He had to quicken and come through, as he didn't get a clear run.
"Often it is a very good for the horse to experience all that stuff and learn a lot in a short space of time.
"The plan is that he might have an easy time, then train him for the National Stakes."
