Betfred Ebor ante-post favourite Flymetothestars is ground dependant warn connections
Sir Mark Prescott's four-year-old was last seen finishing third in the Northumberland Plate and if the ground comes up too quick at York connections will skip the race
ANTE-POST Betfred Ebor favourite Flymetothestars will not run if the ground is too quick warn connections.
Sir Mark Prescott's four-year-old finished third in the Northumberland Plate last time out and is the general 8-1 market leader for the York contest on August 26.
However, if the ground is unsuitable he also has options such as the Irish St Leger.
Tim Palin, racing manager for owners Middleham Park Racing, said: "Flymetothestars has had a little break since Newcastle and we are bringing him back steadily.
"He did one piece of work last week just to keep him topped up. We are taking it nice and steady with him.
"Sir Mark is convinced he wants good or slightly easier ground and if in the build up to York it is shaping up to be fast ground we will bypass it and wait for the autumn.

"He must have good ground or easier and we don't want the word 'firm' in the description. If Sir Mark says he needs juice in the ground, he needs juice in the ground.
"If he didn't run in the Ebor we would look at Listed and Group races on easier ground. He is in the Irish St Leger and that could be a possibility.
"He could also be one for the All-Weather Finals day. We could hang to him and keep him going through the winter.
"You would like to think he could pick up a win and you are in qualifier off his rating then go to the Marathon final."
