CHURCHILL'S YORK AIM

Juddmonte International at York racecourse on the agenda for Aidan O’Brien’s dual Guineas winner Churchill

Churchill was a late non-runner at Goodwood in the Sussex Stakes after the ground deteriorated and O'Brien is keen to step his dual Guineas winner up in trip

AIDAN O'Brien's Churchill is likely to swerve a trip to France on Sunday in preference for a crack at the Juddmonte International later this month.

The dual Guineas winner was a late withdrawal from the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood last Wednesday due to the testing conditions, but he had been in the frame for the Prix Jacques le Marois this weekend.

But O'Brien is now favouring an assault on the Juddmonte International at York on August 23.

"It is not written in stone, but we are looking at going up to a mile and a quarter with him.
