NEXT week's Juddmonte International could turn into one of the clashes of the season as old rivals Ulysses and Barney Roy are set to line up against Churchill.

Ulysses edged Barney Roy out by a nose in the Coral-Eclipse and the former went on to run well in second behind Enable in the King George.

Barney Roy has been kept fresh for the clash and he could once again come up against Churchill who he beat in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Alan Cooper, racing manager for Ulysses' owners the Niarchos family, said: "Michael said on Monday he worked very nicely in the morning and the plan, all being well, is to go for the Juddmonte on Wednesday week.
