MUSHAHADAAT got stuck in the mud at Goodwood last time, which is no disgrace at the conditions were hardly raceable at the time.

She had earlier looked a real prospect when a close second on debut at Newbury over 6f.

It’s interesting to see her dropped back to the minimum distance here and she can resume her progress.

Run this 10 times and get 10 different results but AMOOD gets the nod on this debut for capable trainer Archie Watson.

He has been hiked a fair 2lb for a close-up second at Haydock last time over 6f and he was doing his best work at the finish.

That suggests this longer trip should suit and he seems to handle any ground.

MAJBOOR showed promise on his debut at Salisbury and stepped up a good amount on that display at the same track last time out. He handled this distance well and looks capable of improving again.

He wouldn’t have to show much more to come out on top, with Katheefa the main danger.

3.40 - Mullen's star bet

RIGOLETTO can continue his excellent form after finishing a close-up third at Salisbury last time out. He would probably have won that race with a better start and he let the winner get away from him.

That came after two good runs at Newmarket which included a win over this trip on similar ground. He shapes as though there could be quite a bit more to come.

4.10

DAVID’S BEAUTY looks overdue a win and was beaten in a bobbing finish at Bath last time out.

The handicapper has nudged her up just 1lb for that solid run which came in similar ground conditions. Blinkers seemed to do the trick there and they are on again today.

4.40

SEVEN CLANS showed good heart to win a photo at Newmarket last time over this distance.

He relished the cut underfoot there and will have no problem getting home at stamina-sapping Chepstow. A 3lb rise in the weights gives him every chance of following up.

5.10

The sight of a Sir Mark Prescott runner STARSHELL in a lowly handicap is always worthy of note and this looks a good chance to get off the mark.

He was a close second on his past two runs on the all-weather at Lingfield and he should have no problems on this turf debut.
