SOUND AND SILENCE can cap an excellent juvenile season with another notable victory here.
He showed his talent when winning the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot before picking up another race in that class and a Group 3 in France last time. He wouldn’t have to improve to score again.

GAVOTA ran really well in the Rockwell here last time and might well have finished closer than third with a clear run. She stayed on well once in the clear and looks a classy filly.
This is a step down in class in practical terms and she looks hard to beat.

LIMATO wasn’t at his brilliant best at Goodwood last time but was only beaten half a length in a race that didn’t pan out too well for him.
He has been holding his own at Group 1 level again this term but has been relatively lightly raced so should have plenty left in the tank. This trip is fine and the decent ground helps too.
3.35
HAPPILY beat the colts to land a Group 1 in France last time and looks the pick of the Aidan O’Brien trio.
The only worry is that Chantilly success was just 12 days ago so she hasn’t had a long time to recover.
The same applies to Magical so the biggest threat looks like September. She has fewer miles on the clock and has had a rest since her third in the Moyglare last month.

1.50 Newmarket - Sound And Silence: 'Solid form in the book and wouldn't have to improve much to win here'
4.10
FIRST NATION is at his best over this trip so it was no disgrace to see him finish second here over 1m2f last time out.
He has run some good races at this distance, including when a close-up fourth in a Glorious Goodwood handicap and second in the King George V Handicap at Royal Ascot. He’s a solid each-way price in an open race.
4.45
Keep an eye on the betting for clues about these youngsters but VERACIOUS looks the pick of those with experience.
She’s a daughter of Frankel, which speaks for itself, and she caught the eye with a nice third on debut at Newbury last time. You would expect improvement from that and she has a bright future.

CHAIN OF DAISIES has had a quiet season but was good enough to win a Group 3 last term and wasn’t far off the pace at Windsor last time in that company.
She’s at her best over this distance and will be helped by the drying ground.
