Matt Chapman is the face of racing on ITV - and is here to pick you a winner

A HUGE day on ITV this Saturday with some top notch jumps action at Cheltenham, Aidan O'Brien trying to become a record breaker at Doncaster and there's some decent stuff at Newbury as well.

Plenty to get stuck into as I try to take a few quid off my friends at Sunbets!

I'll be at Cheltenham for ITV, and the 2pm is a handicap chase over 3m1f. The one I want a few quid on is DOING FINE  for Neil Mulholland and Noel Fehily. My hope had a spin over hurdles just the other day and had some superb handicap chase form last season.

The conditions hurdle over an extended 2m at 2.35pm has cut up with Defi de Seuil not declared. On ratings it should now be easy for the Dan Skelton-trainer BEDROCK, who is going for a hat-trick of wins.

A massive field goes to post for a near 2m handicap chase at 3.10pm, and the one to have a few quid on each-way is FOXTAIL HILL. Trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies and ridden by son Sam, my hope would ideally prefer a bit further but is a bold, up with the pace animal when in good form. Nigel will almost certainly have him fit.

Finally at Cheltenham, there is a Pertemps Qualifier handicap hurdle at 3.45pm, and I will have a small wager each-way on WHATAKNIGHT, another Fehily mount for Harry Fry this time. To be honest a mark of 143 is stiff, but the horse has been rated higher and stays well. He was a fair third last time and should run well.

Over at Doncaster, the 1.45pm is a Listed event over 6f, and STAXTON certainly has an each-way chance to turn round form with Rebel Assault from York last time. The selection is ultra consistent.

There's a handicap over nearly 1m4f at Doncaster at 2.55pm, and the one I like here is RESHOUN, who has run really well over a similar distance on his last two starts for Ian Williams. Again the handicapper has not been kind, but this is not a great event.

It's the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy at 3.25pm, and I put up SAXON WARRIOR as a horse to follow on ITV earlier in the season and it wasn't a bad shout. Obviously I have to go with him and I'm hoping he will be the 26th Group 1 of the season for Aidan O'Brien.

ITV also show the handicap over 5f at Doncaster at 4pm, and I will take a chance at a huge price each-way here with ORION'S BOW for Tim Easterby. This 6yo has banged the door down this season but has gradually dropped in the handicap and is well in now off 92. Of course he has to put his best hoof forward, but at the odds on offer he is worth a chance.

Matt Chapman's TV Tips

1.45 Doncaster - Staxton: 'This ultra-consistent type definitely has an each-way chance'

2.00 Cheltenham - Doing Fine: 'Recent spin over hurdles should help and has some top handicap chase form'

2.15 Newbury - Raheen House: 'Stays very well and is pretty classy on a going day'

2.35 Cheltenham - Bedrock: 'On ratings it should be easy now Defi Du Seuil doesn't run'

2.50 Newbury - Dream Today: 'Mark Johnston's horse could outstay his rivals'

2.55 Doncaster - Reshoun: 'This isn't a great contest but he's in form for Ian Williams'

3.10 Cheltenham - Foxtail Hill: 'Should make a bold effort from the front'

3.25 Doncaster - Saxon Warrior: 'Can give Aidan O'Brien a record breaking win'

3.45 Cheltenham - Whataknight: 'Has an each-way shout following a decent third last time'

4.00 Doncaster - Orion's Bow: 'Was banging on the door earlier this season and now looks well handicapped'

Finally, ITV show a couple of races from Newbury, including the Group 3 St Simon over 1m4f at 2.15pm. A wide open contest but RAHEEN HOUSE stays very well and is pretty classy on a going day. He was no match for Capri in the St Leger two runs ago but has place claims here.

And last but not least there is the Group 3 Horris Hill over 7f at 2.50pm. I like DREAM TODAY, who has a high rating off 107 and ran a decent race when second last time at Newmarket. Mark Johnston's hope may outstay a few of these.

So best of luck. Let's hope for some Yeeehaaas. You Betcha!
