Valseur Lido won’t defend his JNwine.com Champion Chase title
Henry de Bromhead's eight-year-old will not be among the Gigginstown quartet set to tackle the first Irish Grade One of the jumps season at Down Royal.
LAST YEAR'S JNwine.com Champion Chase winner Valseur Lido will not return to action at Down Royal to defend his title.
The eight-year-old, who joined Henry de Bromhead's yard for last season, hasn't been seen on the track since a creditable fourth in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown last December.
Owners Gigginstown House Stud are still looking to fire a four-pronged assault at Saturday's Grade One even without the missing Valseur Lido.
Having claimed the prize five times in the last six years, Gigginstown's team is set to include Noel Meade's recent Punchestown winner Road To Respect.
