The long absence puts you off Santo De Lune even though he showed lots of promise before his break. He’s surely going to need this.
HAREFIELD came back from his own layoff to run well in fourth at Exeter last time out.
That was a good hurdles debut after some good form in bumpers. There should be more to come.

Not a lot of chasing form to go on but INDIAN NATIVE shaped well on her debut over the bigger obstacles last time.
She jumped really well and just tired a little as Carlisle’s punishing track took its toll.
This trip is ideal and trainer Alex Hales is in decent form.

GINGE DE SOPHIA is taking a welcome hike in distance after finishing well over 2m at Uttoxeter last time out.
That was just her second spin over timber and she will come on again for the experience, with the trip the biggest plus.
2.10
SCEAU ROYAL just has to jump round to get the better of his one rival here.
Despite the decent prize money on offer only San Pedro De Senam has turned up and he should be no match for Alan King’s horse who was a Grade 1 performer over hurdles.

GROUNDUNDERREPAIR has been a consistent performer and he gets on well with today’s 10lb claimer. He was on board last time when finishing a solid third at Wincanton coming back from six months off.
He likes this trip and any more rain would help as he goes well in the soft.

None of these inspire much confidence and GORRAN HEAVEN gets the nod. He looked a little rusty at Southwell last time so did well to finish fourth.
That was over 3m and he has no problem seeing out the trip so this slight hike in distance shouldn’t be a problem.
3.50
Cuckoo’s Calling has done well to win twice but has a penalty as a result.
That could open the door for the well bred WILDE SPIRIT from Alan King’s yard. She comes from a family that has produced plenty of winners at this level and higher.
