BE determined with ALWAYS RESOLUTE in Newcastle’s 3.25.
Brian Ellison’s (below) stayer has been lightly raced this season and looks fairly weighted on his best form. He was unsuited with the way the race was run at York in October and should relish coming off a faster pace now dropped in trip.
FAVOURITE ROYAL (12.10 Lingfield, nb) is an improving filly. Eve Johnson Houghton’s three-year-old was silky smooth when winning here over a mile and the drop back to seven furlongs should really suit.
MARIA’S BENEFIT (1.30 Ludlow, treble) can strike a blow for the novices. Stuart Edmunds’ mare hacked up on her handicap debut, making all to win by nine lengths. This is tougher, but she is hard to overlook in her current form.
