Horse racing tips: Ascot and Haydock on ITV4 – Matt Chapman’s top betting preview for Saturday, January 20
Get all the info to bash the bookies as ITV's Matt Chapman runs you through a busy Saturday
ASCOT takes centre stage Saturday and that's where I will be Saturday for ITV, although the network also covers Haydock as well.
Let's get straight into it, and the 1.50pm is a Grade 2 mares' hurdle over nearly 3m.
There's no doubt LA BAGUE AU ROI will take all the beating for Warren Greatrex. The selection gives weight but stays well and there are major stamina doubts about Dusky Legend.
The Grade 3 handicap hurdle over an extended 2m3f at 2.25pm is much more competitive.
The ITV team ripped me apart for tipping up Jenkins twice in a row but he hacked up last time proving I was right - he's got loads of ability.
However, this will be tough. I'm going to have a few quid each-way on CROSSED MY MIND, trained by legend Arthur Moore for JP McManus.
This slight step up in trip from last time at Sandown will be ideal.
There's a 2m5f handicap chase at Ascot at 3.00pm, and the one I like here is the improving ACTING LASS for Harry Fry.
A small rise in the weights for a win last time is far from harsh, although this will be more competitive.

Finally it's the Grade 1 Clarence House Chase over an extended 2m at 3.35pm.
The money has been for Brain Power, but I think hot favourite UN DE SCEAUX is an absolute good thing.
I was at Cork when he won last time and he was awesome. I expect him to blitz this lot.
Over at Haydock ITV start - weather permitting - at 2.05pm with the Grade 2 Rossington Main novices' hurdle, and hard to get away from FIRST FLOW, who was awesome at Newbury last time for my pal Kim Bailey.
He looks really promising.

The 2.40pm is the Grade 2 Champion Hurdle Trial, and not much to say here as THE NEW ONE should take all the beating once again.
I expect him to beat Ch'Tibello although he never makes things look easy.
Finally at Haydock the Grade 2 Peter Marsh over an extended 3m1f at 3.15pm.
Many stamina questions here, but none with HAINAN who looked a rejuvenated horse when hacking up at this track last time.
If in the same form - and it is an if as he was pulled up the time before - he will take all the beating.
So best of luck and let's hope for some Yeeehaaas. You Betcha!
