SOUTHWELL

2.15 - Steve Mullen's Star Bet

KINGSTREET LADY was beaten in a close finish here last time and a 1lb rise in the weights gives here every chance of going one better than that second. The trip suits and she can get the better of Warrior’s Valley.

DAWN DANCER has gone close on his past two visits to Southwell and saw out this mile when second last time out. This looks a slightly easier assignment and he should be right on the premises again.

This looks a very soft race and CLOUD NINE is worth chancing. She hasn’t been disgraced lately and ran better than sixth position suggests at Lingfield last time. She is off a career-low mark and could break her duck.

3.50

BEST TAMAYUZ landed a gutsy win over course and distance last time and a 2lb rise in the weights gives him chances of following up. Win Lose Or Draw looks the main danger after a couple of good runs at Chelmsford.

4.20

LEODIS is lightly raced in staying events and enjoyed stepping up in trip when a close third at Newcastle last time. He goes off the same mark here and shapes as though his stamina will hold out well enough.

ST JAMES’S PARK has a big chance if he can repeat the form of his third at Kempton last time out. He finished strongly there and hopefully he can be ridden a little closer to the front this time.
