Horse racing tips: Taunton, Stratford, Chelmsford and Plumpton – Templegate’s betting preview for the racing this Monday, March 12

Taunton, Stratford, Chelmsford and Plumpton come under the spotlight as Templegate gives you his best bets for the day.

Plumpton racecourse

TURN Sand into cash in Plumpton’s 3.20.

SANDHURST LAD (nap) likes this track having won here in November and finished runner-up over today’s course and distance on his last two starts.

He’s weighted to reverse January form with Ballyheigue Bay and he did by far the best of those ridden prominently last time out.

1

MONSIEUR LECOQ (3.30 Stratford, nb) ran well behind useful Night Of Glory at Fontwell last month. This looks an easier race and he handles testing ground.

Take a chance on BERTIE BLUE BOY (8.15 Chelmsford, treble).

He’s not fired in two races this winter but that means he’s become well weighted and he should be spot on today. Jockey Kevin Lundie has a fine record on this trail-blazer.
