JUST THAT LORD was second in this race 12 months ago and comes here in cracking form after an easy win at Lingfield last time out.

He’s just 1lb higher in the weights than last year and looks to have improved a bit since.

CROSSED BATON looks hard to beat after winning on turf at Sandown in September before following up on the all-weather at Kempton on his comeback last time out.

He relished the step up to this distance and there should be a lot more to come.

3.20

SHABEEB blew away the cobwebs after nine months off when a solid enough fifth at Newcastle last time out.

He was last seen running well in good company at Ascot last summer and could be very well handicapped.

Eamonn Hames' top tips for Punchestown

3.40 Punchestown - Lyreen Lad: 'Sneaked in at the bottom of weights and that could be a tip in itself'

4.20 Punchestown - Not Many Left: 'Still unexposed and can bounce back'

4.55 Punchestown - Next Destination: 'Will relish this trip and should show big improvement here'

5.30 Punchestown - Killultagh Vic: 'There's no doubting he has the talent to take this'

6.05 Punchestown - Young Ted: 'Certainly looked the part when bolting up at Thurles'

6.40 Punchestown - Oscar Knight: 'He will get his optimum race conditions today'

7.15 Punchestown - Tintangle: 'Sets the clear standard on form'

AJMAN KING showed his liking for this track when winning here in October with plenty of petrol left in the tank.

He followed that up with a convincing victory at Doncaster over this distance in similar ground. He’s gone well fresh before an an 8lb rise in the weights shouldn’t stop him.

KING OF THE SAND has done all his racing on turf and ran well when second here in September. He built on that solid effort by winning by more than four lengths at Brighton in October.

He likes a bit of give in the ground and gets this trip really well. He looks hard to beat under Ryan Moore.

5.00

CHRISTOPHER WOOD shaped really well on his comeback upped in class at Newmarket last time. He finished the race nicely over this trip and you would expect him to improve for it.

He is off the same mark as that HQ effort which is another plus.
