Horse racing tips: Chester – Templegate’s betting preview for ITV’s racing TODAY
Chester comes under the spotlight as Templegate gives you his best bets for Wednesday's racing
CHESTER’S tight turns can send you dizzy so bank on a Rascal.
Unexposed YOUNG RASCAL bolted up at Newbury last month and he looks the one to be on in the MBNA Chester Vase.
He will love stepping up to 1m4f and should see off Aidan O’Brien’s invading trio.
1.50 Chester: Get your teeth into NO LIPPY.
She overcame inexperience to won on her debut on testing ground at Doncaster 11 days ago.
This well-bred filly is sure to improve for that run and her smart pedigree suggests she’ll like the better ground.
Coming out of a low stall is a big advantage over this trip so she’s copped a decent in draw in box four.
Tom Dascombe fires four bullets in the attempt to win this race for the third time since 2010. Light My Fire might be the best of them. She won well on her debut at Ripon last month.
Kinks has the best form but the worst draw.

2.25: The Cheshire Oaks was the launch pad for Enable’s rise to greatness last year.
I’m backing John Gosden and Frankie Dettori to win it again with AWARD WINNING.
She improved a stack for her debut when running away with a Wetherby novice contest 10 days ago. The step up from 1m2f is right up her street.
Aidan O’Brien has won this prize five times in ten years from just nine runners. Magic Wand looks his first string with Ryan Moore in the saddle.
Her form is uninspiring but she could well take a big jump forward switched to decent ground. Kinaesthesia won on her debut and is another in with a shout.
3.00: FORMIDABLE KITT should be a hit.
She won on her debut last season before coming up short in Group races.
Her fourth behind smart sprinter Havana Grey was a fair effort and I reckon she’s been let in lightly for her handicap debut. A lower draw would have been ideal but she does have plenty of pace.
Spoof finished close up when fifth in the Group 2 Cornwallis Stakes in October. His handicap rating has suffered as a result and he’s vulnerable to anything better weighted.
Showmethedough looked to find 5f too sharp at Thirsk on his return to action. Getting outpaced here means curtains.

3.35: It might be foolish to take on Aidan O’Brien given he’s won this race eight times in the last 11 years.
But I’ve been really impressed with YOUNG RASCAL. He chased home smart stablemate My Lord And Master on his debut and he destroyed a big field over 1m at Newbury last month.
To be able to that over a trip clearly too short for him was very good.
Ispolini had O’Brien’s Hunting Horn behind in third when touched off in Sandown’s Classic Trial. Given Charlie Appleby is in top form he might not improve too much for that comeback run.
