TOUGH DECISION

Oaks favourite Lah Ti Dar misses Epsom gallop while Aidan O’Brien admits Ryan Moore facing a tough decision on who to ride

Ryan Moore faces a tough decision on who to ride in the Oaks at Epsom

AIDAN O'BRIEN reckons Ryan Moore will face a difficult decision on who to ride in the Investec Oaks at Epsom.

Moore has ridden Magical on five of her seven starts - but has yet to record a win on her.

O'Brien also has Cheshire Oaks winner Magic Wand entered, and the star jockey was taken by her performance on the Roodee.

The Ballydoyle handler said: "I suppose Magical was a very highly-rated filly last year and she's a full sister to Rhododendron, but I know Ryan was very happy with the filly he rode in Chester as well.

"It's not going to be an easy one for him, but he's probably going to find it hard to get off Magical.

"But that's not to say that he won't because I know he was very happy with the Chester filly and we were very happy with her also."

O'Brien also plans to saddle Blue Wind Stakes winner Bye Bye Baby, while Cheshire Oaks runner-up Forever Together and I Can Fly are other likely Oaks contenders.

Happily, who finished third in the 1000 Guineas on her last start will miss the Oaks.

'SO FAR SO GOOD' Aidan O'Brien's Derby favourite Saxon Warrior in top form ahead of Epsom

Speaking at the Breakfast with the Stars event, O'Brien added: "She's going to the Irish Guineas and there's not a lot of time to come back."

Meanwhile, Oaks favourite Lah Ti Dar missed her intended gallop at Epsom on Tuesday morning but is reported to be in good form.

Trainer John Gosden said: "She's fine, she's just going out for a canter and she worked nicely on Friday.

"It was just the six hours on the road and a bit of heat coming home, it isn't something she needed 10 days before the race.

"She's pleased us in everything she has done and we just felt she was better at home today than on the road."
