GOOD NEWS ran well at Plumpton last time despite unseating his rider at the second-last. It wasn’t a jumping error and he has a professional jockey in the plate today.

He would have been a good second and this race doesn’t look any stronger.

SPIRITOFCHARTWELL did little wrong around here last season, winning a couple of times along with a couple of good placed efforts.

He’s a quirky type but this trip suits well and he will like the ground. It’s an open race but he should go well.

RINGA DING DING has had just a couple of runs over timber but showed a lot of promise when second at Wincanton last time out.

There was a long way back to the third and there should be a lot more to come.

ANTONY was an impressive winner here last time, scoring with 13 lengths in hand over just short of 2m6f.

He steps up in distance here but he’s stayed in the past and a 2lb rise for that last victory looks more than fair.

ROYAL HALL was a good second at Plumpton last time out over 2m. That was an excellent effort after a long time out of the hurdling game and there should be some improvement.

He is 6lb higher in the weights but should be able to progress past that.

She has a tongue tie today which should help and you would expect her to be a lot fitter in what looks a weak race.

The handicapper has left him on the same mark and there’s no reason why he won’t go close again.
