NOTTINGHAM

2.20

There are some nice newcomers on show but CAPLA ROCK is the pick of those with racecourse form and she can strike.

1

She caught the eye when beaten just half a length here last time on debut over this trip. There should be some improvement from that and it wouldn’t take a lot.

ISLAND OF LIFE starts off handicapping from a fair mark despite showing some decent form in three maidens.

She left Godolphin for William Haggas before her most recent start that should have blown away the cobwebs. This trip suits and she should improve.

3.20

FILLE DE REVE is taking a fair drop in class from the Group 3 Fred Darling Stakes and that can do the trick.

She looked a real prospect after winning a Kempton maiden in October and can get back on track from a reasonable mark on handicap debut.

3.50

TRICORN was coming back from 10 months off when midfield at Newmarket last time and should come on a lot for the run.

He’s had a little help from the handicapper and should also appreciate this shorter trip. The Gosden horses are in good form too.

4.20

FISHER GREEN has been given a sensible break since running twice in 24 hours last month.

The first of those was his debut for Roger Fell and was full of promise, finishing fifth from a poor draw at Doncaster. He is stepping up in distance here, which should also suit looking at his past form.

4.50

DAGUENEAU had to settle for second behind Quantatmental at Beverley last time and it should be a good battle between them again.

The form could be reversed because Ed Dunlop’s gelding was caught napping for a few yards by the winner before closing again. A 3lb swing at the weights and James Doyle taking over in the saddle are other pluses.

5.25

KRAZY PAVING has been knocking on the door in similar races and is handicapped to go close again. She was a good second over this trip at Brighton last time and runs off the same mark today.
